About Thursday

yeah, I realised both my posts got published. Basically, I didn't think the first one had because, well, it said it hadn't. But it did, not that I knew this, so reposted something similar that evening. Oh dear

The no-drinking blues

Hiya,

Music today: Green Day

am resenting paying money for alcohol at the mo, it really is too expensive, says he, planning to have a beer tonight. But that would be the first time in over a week. And I'm having it with curry. Now it would be rude not to wouldn't it? Just played badminton, got a singles with Jim tomorrow, though also found a crack in my racket frame, and with a week to go till roses that isn't so good in the grand scheme of things. Organised (hopefully) a meeting with Lisa at the start of next week to sort my dissertation, and completely (barely) my first full shift back at work last night. Boring as hell but other things make it good (not the radio though). Neighbours today was terrible, I may have to face up to my addiction soon.

Sore head

Hiya,

Music today: Beth Orton

so woke up feeling absolutely horrendous this morning after an 11 hour bender yesterday, it wasn't good! Then forced myself through two hours of badminton. Not the thing to do when one has a hangover! Am attempting to get work done but still not feeling top of my game. Emailed essays to mum though, so progress.

Sore head

Hiya,

Music today: none so far

this screen is flicking really oddly and my head is hurting - not a good combination! Had an 11 hour drinking session yesterday and boy am I paying for it the morning after the night before. I really really quite ill, especially as have just forced my way through 2 hours of badminton. Going home to attempt recovery.

Yey!

Hiya,

Music today: (playing along to) Green Day

spent some intimate time with my bass earlier, though not enough, so will probably play some more later, but she is due for a polish, so may as well make the most of it before I crack open the bees wax again. Finished my essays, yey! how exciting. Just got to confirm the last essay title then they're ready to be emalied home and printed :) A weight off my mind to say the least, on with the dissertation! At least something is going right with my life, who know's what I'd think of my self if I was shit at my work as well. Badminton was ok today after yesterday's disaster. My form appears to be flip-flopping faster than the labour government. Off to the pub later as the Grolsch (is that how you spell it?) is only £1.50 as they're selling it off. Fine by me :) Then Jim's off Ziggy'ing so I have the house to myself. I will probably just read and play guitar till I feel tired. Need to get my hair cut tomorrow. Quite a long ramble today, in a strangly ambivalent mood despite long-awaited essay success.

knackered (again)

Hiya,

Music today: northern soul - yeah baby!

knackered right now as have just played 2 hours of badminton. Have only 200 words remaining for my final essay though so things are in fact on the up. They should be ready to send home for printing by the end of tomorrow. So that's good news, also dissertation reading is proving as stimulating as ever, be realistic - demand the impossible! I love utopianism :) Top 100 albums yesterday was controversial, couldn't believe there was only one Dylan album in there, a blasphemy on ALL accounts. Right, got to email laura and sort some stuff out.

Busy laziness

Hiya,

Music today: none so far

so just wasted a good hour in the library dossing and looking for journal articles only to realise I can't get them home. Yippee. Elsewhere and life on all fronts is failing miserably. MA is still up in the air, finances are very much under and work is still not finished. Oh yes. Right, off home to watch the rugby and snooker before returning later for those articles.

Joy and desperation

Hiya,

Muisc toady: none so far

haha! well into my ska punk at the moment, in deep love with Whitmore, Reel Big Fish and the like. Music IS my life :) Joy as got accepted to do my MA here in York, yey! Desperation that the admin cocked up & put me on a full time course rather than a part time one :( Just been to see them and the lady who 'deals with my department' isn't there, what a surprise but I've been told to expect an email. Plus I need a letter from the bank manager saying he thinks its ok for me to fund this, argh! That showdown I will have to deal with when (if) I get there. Right playing badminton now so must dash.

loneliness

Hiya,

Music today: Interpol, Green Day, [spunge]

busy with essay's still. Nearly finished though :) will have about 1000 words to go by the end of tonight (I'm assuming!). Watched Vanilla Sky, was immense :) Otherwise life is boring, Carl & Adam came round last night for some MOTD and red dwarf action, which was good, otherwise I've been pretty lonely. With Matt & Katie away for Easter, I'm left with Jim who is either: in bed, at work, at Andy's getting wasted. And as I'm in bed by the time he comes home from all that, as you can imagine, I don't get to see him too much either :( Oh well, the work front is looking up, even if my finances aren't. And still two whole weeks before the next lot of loan! It's going to be a close one . . .

Work going well

Hiya,

Music today: Damien Rice

been busy this morning perousing journal articles for the last bit of my SECOND essay! oh yes, got 3500 words done in the last two days, how excited am I. Nearly done two! yey. Still got no clue what I'm doing with the third though :( At least I'll have three weeks to panic over it. Right, going into the depths of the library to locate these wonderous articles that will get me my 1000 words . . .

Disgraceful - how busy???

Hiya,

Music today: none so far

yikes haven't updated this thing for ages and I still can't really take too much time updating it now. Basically, working my socks off on my last three essays so I can get stuck in to my dissertation. Going quite well, I should have the first one done by tomorrow I reckon. Went home for the week last week. Was absolutely fab. Great seeing everyone again, and had the most immense fun partying over the weekend. I think I was up something like 41-2 hours overall, so broke through the new year barrier with ease! The Slammin' Vinyl party in London was absolutely immense, complete with blurry eyed getting lost in the morning syndrome! And the Brains Kan was cool as ever, I think Scat and I were both a bit tired by this point, plus had knackered my knee joints from the dancing, but still managed a couple of good stomps and a nice walk around the area.
Right that had better be it, off to the key text's room!
