Trollyed Sheffield

Hiya,

Music Today: Mr. Scruff, lots of dub and reggae

just a quick one to say Polly's birthday was brilliant, it so good seeing all the guys from back home again! Right that had better, must not be anti-social on the computer.

So so tired

Hiya,

Music Today: Allister

got to be quick, looking forward to getting home so much! Served my 20 hour sentance for this week. Going to Polly's tomorrow for birthday, going to be absolutely mint, if a little difficult due to overwhelming lack of funds. Promise I'll write soon, dissertation due in 10 days or something so no promises.

Another Boring Title

Hiya,

Music Today: Levellers

wow, what I've heard of the new Levellers album is fab, can't wait for the rest of it! Card night this evening with the guys, yey - another chance to loose money. Star wars is AMAZING. Went with Steph and some of her friends last night and it was just fab. Hopefully going to see Hitchhikers guide with her later this week (not that I've got round to asking her yet). I know I haven't written this for ages but the weekend has been chaos. Sam's birthday on Thursday was, well, an event. Let's leave it at that shall we. Friday, and The Music ROCKED SO HARD!!! Good grief it was carnage down the front, just the sort of thing to get you in the mood for festival season :) Then Jim's birthday on Saturday was ridiculous carnage as well. The house survived, my soberness did not. Another awesome Siward Street party (and I think Jim may be quite happy with his Leeds ticket).
Good times ahead. Not. Dissertation due two weeks today, panic has officially increased from mild/medium to medium/medium/high. Help! I'm never going to get through this alive! And on top of that I've lost my postgrad registration form. What an idiot, I rock.

Busy as a bee

Hiya,

Music today: None so far (too early)

argh! Lisa hasn't replied about my essay plan :( Going to have to go home and continue working blind for now, gutted. I know my post titles are still lame, my life just isn't interesting enough! On the plus side got the start of an awesome ska-punk tune going for the new band (after adding somewhat to the three piece line up of last Friday). With George and Paul on side hopefully I can get Steph interested in playing so only a trumpet player to go! Yey, truely exciting things await.

Roses Victory

Hiay,

Music today: none - too hung over

so we've won Roses by 60 points this year! Absolutely brilliant. I played terribly but the team won & we collected all the points from badminton as usual :) Ridiculously drunk last night, must not happen again! I know its an old cliche but I really hate myself when I'm drunk (more so than usual anyway) and it just has to stop.
For some reason the staff didn't turn up to our mixed match today (another thing to worry about).
On the plus side our first gig as a band went down quite well, everyone said they'd enjoyed it (so actually they may all be lying . . .) Onwards and upwards is what I say!
Oasis and Coldplay's albums both out now so tomorrow could be the start of the cd buying frenzy I've been bracing myself for (note to self: do not check bank balance). What a crazy weekend,

Badminton, Dylan and band stuff

Hiya,

Music today: Playing our own stuff

realising increasingly the the names of my threads are not v.exciting. Will try harder in future. Knackered after 2 hours of pretty hard badminton. Have a mens on Tuesday then straight out to the social (!), Roses on Friday morning and then a mixed on Sunday! Well, I got my wish, I'm playing lots of badminton again :) Cant be bothered spending money going out though, with two badminton socials this week (1 for roses), spent £35 on new records I haven't even listened to yet & got another Dylan boot leg :) though the dude hasn't given me his address to post the cheque yet, so still waiting on that one.
Had a great band pracitice yesterday, in preperation for our first gig on Friday night, should be really good but coming up with melodies when you already have the chords in place is proving quite difficult!!! Argh, well, we'll have to think of something by then!
